A.BBQ SERIES: Amy Brandwein of Centrolina
We’re fired up (see what we did there) to announce our summer A.BBQ series in partnership with OpenTable! All summer long, we’re throwing backyard-style BBQs featuring some of your favorite chefs from around the city—each event benefiting our friends at Southern Smoke Foundation. Tickets are just $10, with all proceeds going directly to Southern Smoke Foundation, a non-profit near and dear to our hearts that supports F&B workers in crisis by providing emergency relief funding and access to mental health services. Once you're in, all drinks + food are pay as you go!

Summer Restaurant Week
Join us August 18–30 for a seasonal 3-course menu by Chef Amy Brandwein, showcasing peak summer flavors and signature Italian flair.
Start with a rotating welcome bite, then choose from dishes like Peach & Heirloom Tomato Gazpacho, Spaghetti-Crusted Gulf Prawn, Corn Raviolone with black truffle butter, or Cognac-Grilled Beef Cheek.
Finish with creative desserts like Sesame-Butterscotch Budino or Chocolate Torta with red wine and fig. Optional supplements like summer truffles and Baerii caviar available.

This September, Chef Amy welcomes Chef Shamim of Lapis for an unforgettable evening in Centrolina’s Private Chef’s Salon. From humble beginnings as an Afghan refugee in 1987—learning to cook rice over long-distance calls to her mother—Chef Shamim has become one of DC’s most beloved chefs. At Lapis, her cooking is rooted in memory and family, blending tradition, flavor, and heart in every dish. Together, she and Chef Amy will craft a dinner that honors heritage, resilience, and the joy of gathering around the table.

At Elmina, Chef Eric draws on his West African roots and global culinary experience to craft a contemporary Ghanaian menu that’s as thoughtful as it is flavorful. Known for his appearances on Top Chef, Tournament of Champions, and Selena + Chef, as well as his bestselling children’s book Sankofa, Chef Eric brings a unique perspective to every plate. This July, Chef Amy is thrilled to welcome Chef Yuan Tang of the Michelin-starred Rooster & Owl for a one-night-only collaborative dinner in Centrolina’s Private Chef’s Salon.
