ArPePe Wine Dinner with Isabella Pelizzatti Perego & Chef Amy Brandwein
Wednesday, September 2 - 6:30pm | Centrolina – Chef’s Salon
Join us for an intimate evening celebrating the wines of ARPEPE and the cuisine of Valtellina, hosted by fifth-generation winemaker Isabella Pelizzatti Perego alongside Chef Amy Brandwein.
Isabella is part of the winemaking team at ARPEPE, working alongside her brothers Emanuele and Guido to carry forward more than 160 years of their family's winemaking tradition in Valtellina.
The Pelizzatti Perego family's history in wine dates to 1860, when Isabella's great-great-grandfather Giovanni established the original family winery. After the winery and family brand were sold in the 1970s, Isabella's father, Arturo Pelizzatti Perego, reclaimed the family's vineyards and cellar, ultimately founding ARPEPE in 1984 — a name derived from his initials.
Today, Isabella and her brothers continue their father's vision, producing elegant, age-worthy Nebbiolo from the dramatic terraced vineyards of Sassella, Grumello and Inferno. ARPEPE is defined by patience, tradition and a profound expression of terroir, with wines given extended maturation before release to emphasize finesse, freshness and longevity.
For this special dinner, Chef Amy has created a five-course menu inspired by the flavors and traditions of Valtellina, each course thoughtfully paired with an ARPEPE wine.
Throughout the evening, Isabella and Chef Amy will guide guests through each pairing together, sharing the stories behind the wines, the inspiration behind each dish, and how the food and wine were designed to complement one another.
